Otto support
Questions, answered.
Otto is an autonomous camera for iPhone made by Greenflag Tech, Inc. Most questions are answered below. For anything else, write to us; a person reads every message.
What does Otto save to my Photos library?
Only the photograph you keep. Each smart session may capture several candidates, but by default Otto saves one winner to Photos and nothing else. It asks for add-only Photos permission, so it can never read or change the photos already in your library. If you would rather decide yourself, turn off auto-save in Settings and choose what to keep from the session gallery.
Where are the alternatives, and how long are they kept?
The alternatives stay inside Otto, in the session gallery, stored in the app's private space on your iPhone. They are never added to Photos unless you choose one. They are kept for 7 days (the period can change with an update or a configuration change) and are then removed automatically.
How do I replace the winner with a different photo?
Open the session in the gallery, look through the alternatives, and pick the one you prefer. Otto finishes and saves your choice to Photos. Do this within the retention period, while the alternatives are still on your iPhone.
How does the free limit work, and when does it reset?
The Free plan includes 10 smart sessions a day with the full experience. A smart session is one subject or moment, however many photos Otto takes for it: several minutes with the same plate of food is one session, and turning to a friend starts another. A session that never captured a candidate does not count. After 10 sessions Otto keeps working as a basic camera, with the shutter but without autonomous capture, selection, or guidance, until midnight in your iPhone's local time zone, when the count resets. Counting happens on your device. The allowance can change, and we may adjust it remotely without an update.
How do I manage or cancel Otto Pro?
Otto Pro is an Apple subscription, so Apple manages it. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Otto Camera. You can also open the App Store app and tap your profile picture. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge; you keep Pro until the period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, use Restore Purchases in Otto's settings.
How do I turn voice off?
Voice output and voice input are separate. The voice-output toggle on the camera screen silences spoken guidance (subtitles still appear where they help), and both toggles are also in Settings. Otto only listens while you hold the microphone button; with voice input off it never listens. You can also revoke the Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security. Everything else keeps working with voice off.
Why did Otto take a photo I did not ask for, or miss one I wanted?
Otto makes photographic judgments automatically, and they can be wrong. It takes the photo when the scene is ready and the device is steady, so it may capture a moment you did not want or miss one you did. Tap the shutter whenever a moment matters to you, check the session gallery for alternatives, and turn autonomous capture off in Settings if you would rather trigger every photo yourself.
What leaves my iPhone?
Not your photos, not your voice, not transcripts, not face or scene data, and not your location. Otto processes all of that on your device and never uploads it. What does leave: crash and performance diagnostics with no photo or voice content, requests for configuration values, app integrity tokens that prove the app is genuine, and, if you subscribe to Pro, subscription status from Apple identified by transaction numbers rather than by you. There is no account, no advertising, and no tracking. The full details are in the Privacy Policy at ottocam.ai/privacy.
Does Otto work offline?
Yes. Scene understanding, camera decisions, capture, selection, finishing, voice, and saving all work in airplane mode. The network is used only for configuration updates, crash reports, app integrity checks, and subscription reconciliation, and none of those ever blocks the camera. A Pro subscription that has been verified on your iPhone keeps working without connectivity.
Which iPhones does Otto support?
Otto requires iOS 26 or later and an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. It is photography only: no video, and no iPad or Android versions.
Contact support
Email us
Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, the Otto version (Settings, About), and what happened. Please do not attach photographs unless they are needed to resolve your issue.
support@trygreenflag.comSubscriptions and refunds
Otto Pro is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are decided by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue them directly. If Pro is not showing after a reinstall or on a new iPhone, use Restore Purchases in Otto's settings first, then write to us.
Deleting your data
Delete the app. That removes everything Otto stored on your iPhone: the alternatives, session history, settings, and the daily session count. The photographs you kept stay in your Photos library, because they are yours.
There is nothing to delete on our side for the camera itself: Otto has no account, and your photos, voice, and scene data never reach us. The only server-side records are subscription records, held by Apple and by our purchase backend, keyed by Apple's transaction identifiers and a random installation identifier rather than by your name. If you would like the record on our side deleted once it is no longer needed to honor your subscription, email support@trygreenflag.com with your Apple order or transaction identifier. The Privacy Policy describes everything that leaves your device and how long it is kept.
Requirements
